TREATs for TROOPs will run December 307/ Large donation boxes will be placed near the receptionists' desks. Please bring donations of socks, hot cholcolate, coffee, lemonade, protein bars, beef jerky, baby wips, and magazines for the members of WOHS Alum and WOBN Alum Tyler Marsh's current platoon.
ADOPT A FAMILY: Each 1st hour will be given a child from our district to help. The children involved need things like gloves, boots, and sometimes coats. You will receive your child's size and needs soon if you haven't already. Focus on your child's needs before spending money on fun stuff like toys. Collection is December 14.
FOOD DRIVE: Help stock your schools' food pantry by dropping off non-perishable food items in the designated areas of both buildings' Main Streets. This is a competitions between the grades.
BOOK DRIVE: Along with the English Department will will be collecting gently used or new books to give to Elementary students in our district
STUFF THE BUS: Go to the Family Fare just down the street or the Douglas D&W on December 15 from 8 to 2 for this WO tradition. Stuff the bus!
HOLIDAY ASSEMBLY: At the end of the day on December 21st (our last school day before break) Santa Claus is coming to town and this year's lip dub will premiere.
HOLIDAY BREAK IN: This WO tradition is not widely known. Each year, student senate has "broken-in" to provide them with a Christmas experience they may not have had otherwise. This year the senate has chose to break into the Holland Rescue Mission providing everything from sheets and undergarments to food and books.. If you have anything you think you could donate let them know.
