WOBN Morning Show - Wednesday, 4.21.10

Congrats to WOBOT!

The WO Robotics team headed to Nationals last week and had a very successful competion. The WOBOT team was selected by the fourth-seeded alliance to compete in the quarterfinals in the Curie Division, where the WOBOT went four hard matches to get the two wins required to move on to semis where they eventually lost. But what a great showing by the students; they performed well on an international stage.

But the real thrill came during the awards ceremony. The team won the Engineering Inspiration Award at the Championship level! Their award is actually a "pre-qualifier", so it
means that they are already eligible to attend the 2011 Championship again next year!

Read the Grand Rapids Press Article "West Ottawa High Students win high honor at 2010 FIRST Robotics Championship" by Matt Vande Bunte.

Read the Holland Sentinel Article "WO Wins at Robotics World Championship" by Blake Thorne.

Congratulations to the WOBOT Team!
